Note to self: Remember why you started.

It's really easy to give up when things get tough. I remember a time I was working on a project and after about a year at it, my project got rejected by an international journal and the research was called irrelevant. I sent the research to a student conference and they concluded that my research looked like my previous work, and I got blacklisted for self plagiarism.  At that point, giving up looked like a really good option. My supervisor was almost frustrated by the reviews sent by the international journal but he encouraged me to do more research.
All that kept me going was the reason I started; to contribute to knowledge. I kept on and did more research, yet I kept getting frustrating results along the way. My programming algorithms were going nuts, my results were deviating from the acceptable limit, everything was saying just give up.
One year later, I had a breakthrough. The research got accepted by an international journal and it's now published. My equation finally made sense after it was previously called 'irrelevant', 'not original' and 'having no physical basis'.
Don't give up, go back to God, pray and get back to the drawing board. You're victory is just at the corner.
